Other resident groups
Anti-Social Behaviour Group
Meets to deal with matters relating to anti-social behaviour and more serious tenancy enforcement issues. Since the group was set up in 2008 they have been consulted on our new anti-social behaviour policy, given their views on ideas put forward for new schemes, and received training and updates on current work.
Repairs Group
This has been established for a number of years and deals with repairs-related issues - both responsive (day-to-day) repairs and the major improvement work. In recent meetings the group have covered monitoring the progress of the major improvement work, been consulted on a new 'handy-van' service and will shortly be trained on the new lettable standard with the view to them carrying out inspections of repairs.
Communications Group
Incorporates the editorial panel for Castle Morpeth @home and also looks at more general communications issues. Recent feedback on the newsletter resulted in an increase in font size and a move to printing on recycled paper.
Sheltered Scheme Meetings
Our sheltered scheme residents often have specific needs and require a different level of service from us. As a result we recently began holding informal meetings at each of our schemes to deal with the issues that matter.
Procurement Specialists Group
Castle Morpeth Housing and other housing associations buy in lots of services from external providers. To make sure the services we buy meet our tenants' needs we have trained a small group of tenants on the procurement process and they will be helping us to choose contractors for the services which are customer facing (e.g. grounds maintenance).
Groupwide Tenants' Forum
Sometimes residents from across the Isos Group need to get together to discuss issues that are relevant to everyone. Members of Castle Morpeth's tenants' forum have attended meetings on groupwide customer service standards and a possible incentive scheme. They also helped to plan last year's residents' conference.
