| Security of tenure If you have no home, no security of tenure or are sharing a home. +Maximum points are given to people.who have been accepted as Homeless by their local authority in line with Homelessness legislation. | Max 40 |
| Lack of basic amenities Awarded when the applicant is living in hostel accommodation. | Max 40 |
| Disrepair You will only get these points if you are a private tenant and your home is in disrepair. | 20 |
| Overcrowding If your home is severely overcrowded. | 10 points for every count of overcrowding |
| Under-occupation Points awarded if you are moving to a smaller property. | 10 points for every count of under-occupation |
| Medical/Social If you have medical needs that are made worse by your current accommodation and would be improved or alleviated by a move, e.g. severe mobility problems or difficulties managing stairs. If you have welfare needs that are made worse by the accommodation you currently have, e.g. domestic violence, harassment, need support of family and friends. You have social or economic needs that make it necessary for you to move, e.g you have to move to access special education, a new job, to improve your financial situation, to give or receive support. | Max 20 |
