Anti-Social Behaviour
Castle Morpeth Housing, part of the Isos Housing Group is committed to enabling residents in the communities in which we work, to have the quiet enjoyment of their home with decent, safe and secure living conditions. We believe that everyone has the right to live the way they want as long as it doesn't spoil the quality of life for others. This means being tolerant, accepting and respecting the needs and choices of other people.
We value the diversity of our residents and believe that all residents, their families and visitors to their home have a right to live their lives without fear or abuse, intimidation, harassment, humiliation or attack irrespective of age, disability, ethnicity, gender, race, religion and sexuality
We will not tolerate any incidents of anti-social behaviour whether committed by a tenant, leaseholder, member of the community, an employee or a contractor. We are committed to taking appropriate action against any perpetrator of anti-social behaviour, with the aim of protecting the victims, providing education and preventing further incidents.
Castle Morpeth Housing has signed up to the 'Respect Standard for Housing Management' we are committed to tackling anti-social behaviour by showing our communities that we will tackle and not tolerate anti-social behaviour. Castle Morpeth Housing is fully committed to making estates and neighbourhoods safer. Castle Morpeth Housing also adopts the view that 'anti-social behaviour ' covers a wide range of problems including behaviour that is capable of causing nuisance or annoyance to an individual or the wider community.
Examples* of anti-social behaviour are:
- violence or threats of violence
- racial and other forms of harassment
- domestic violence
- criminal activity, including using homes to sell drugs and the storage of stolen goods
- noise nuisance
- verbal abuse/intimidation
- rubbish dumping
- boundary disputes
- damage to property
- nuisance from vehicles
- animal nuisance
- intimidation
- drug and alcohol abuse
- covering all forms of neighbourhood nuisance
